Day of Giving

$20K for the Class of 2020

Please join us on Wednesday, May 20 for a Day of Giving that celebrates our high school and college graduates in the Classes of 2020. In a year that has thus far been marked with much uncertainty, we want to celebrate the good and honor ALL seniors who have worked so hard.

We have two special giving initiatives to celebrate these students:

  1. Sponsor an Emily K Center seniorMake a gift in support of one of our graduates. Your support can help fund care packages, laptops for college, sweatshirts for their chosen schools and more.
  2. Honor a senior in your life — Show your pride for a senior you know and make a gift to the Center in honor of his or her accomplishments.  We’ll email your senior a very special congratulations card from Coach K. (Please allow five business days for the e-card to be delivered.)

Your support allows us to honor these students and continue to provide life-changing college access programming to all the students we serve. Today, more than ever before, these services are desperately needed to ensure that Durham’s most at-risk students stay on-track to pursue their dreams of college. You can make your gift and track our Day of Giving progress below. Thank you!

100% of Emily K Center Scholars to College seniors have been accepted to college.

85% of Emily K Center students will be the first in their families to go to college.

Our college grads are making waves. Zykeria just graduated from Salem College with three degrees in just three years! Her next stop? Teach for America Greater Delta Region.
